User Agreement

1Account Registration

1.1 To register, you must provide a valid email address and any other information we request (e.g., username).

1.2 You may not create an account using false identity information, impersonate another person or brand, or maintain more than one account for the purpose of manipulating reviews, ratings, or votes.

1.3 You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all actions taken through your account, whether or not authorized by you.

1.4 One person or legal entity may not maintain multiple accounts to submit multiple reviews for the same tool, artificially inflate ratings, or evade a suspension.

2Role of Registered Users

As a registered user, you may be able to:

• Submit reviews and ratings for software tools listed on the Site;
• Comment on listings or other reviews;
• Suggest or submit new tool listings for inclusion in the directory;
• Manage a public profile visible to other users.

We may introduce, modify, or discontinue any of these features at our discretion.

3Review and Content Standards

By submitting a review, comment, or listing, you confirm that:

3.1 Genuine Experience. If reviewing a tool, you have personally used or evaluated it, or clearly disclose the basis of your assessment if you have not directly used it.

3.2 Honesty and Disclosure. You are not being paid, incentivized, or instructed by a tool vendor (or anyone else) to post a positive or negative review without disclosing that relationship. Any sponsored or incentivized content must be clearly labeled as such.

3.3 No Manipulation. You will not use bots, fake accounts, review farms, or coordinated campaigns to inflate or deflate a tool's rating.

3.4 Lawful Content. Your content does not contain defamatory statements, hate speech, harassment, threats, obscenity, or infringing material.

3.5 Relevance. Reviews and comments should relate to the tool or listing in question and not be used for unrelated advertising, spam, or personal disputes unrelated to the product.

Violation of this section may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent ban, at our discretion, and we reserve the right to flag or label content we reasonably suspect is fraudulent or manipulated.

4Ownership and License to Submitted Content

4.1 You retain ownership of the content you submit.

4.2 By submitting content, you grant PickThisTool.com a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, host, reproduce, display, distribute, and adapt that content for the purpose of operating, promoting, and improving the Site (including in marketing materials, provided such use is reasonably related to showcasing the Site or its listings).

4.3 You may request removal of your own reviews or comments by contacting us or (where available) using in-account deletion tools. We may retain anonymized or aggregated data (e.g., ratings used in aggregate scores) or content required to be kept for legal, security, or record-keeping purposes.

5Account Suspension and Termination

5.1 We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have:

• Violated this Agreement or the Terms and Conditions;
• Submitted fraudulent, manipulated, or fake reviews;
• Engaged in harassment or abusive conduct toward other users or listed vendors;
• Attempted to compromise the security or integrity of the Site.

5.2 You may deactivate your own account at any time by contacting us at admin@pickthistool.com or using account settings, where available.

5.3 Upon termination, your right to use account-based features ends immediately. Sections 3, 4, 6, 7, and 8 of this Agreement survive termination.

6Vendor and Third-Party Interactions

6.1 If you are a representative of a software vendor submitting or claiming a listing, you additionally represent that you have the authority to act on behalf of that company and will not misrepresent the tool's features, pricing, or reviews.

6.2 Disputes between users and third-party tool vendors (e.g., regarding a tool's performance, billing, or support) are solely between those parties. PickThisTool.com is not responsible for mediating or resolving such disputes, though we may, at our discretion, remove content that is proven false or defamatory.

7Changes to This Agreement

We may revise this Agreement from time to time. Continued use of your account after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance. Where changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you (e.g., by email or an in-Site notice).

8Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the same governing law and dispute resolution provisions set out in Section 14 of our Terms and Conditions.
